Build an agent or plugin
Discover the API, use the Rust client, and cite observed prices correctly.
Connect a tool
Use auctionhouse.fyi for WoW: Forever item prices, market comparisons and historical research. Public reads need no account or key. A plugin can import the OpenAPI 3.1 contract or call the HTTP endpoints directly.
Start with GET /api/v1/ah to discover markets with observations. Read an item with GET /api/v1/ah/{market}/{item}. Resolve names with GET /api/v1/items/{key}. An empty market list is valid when nobody has contributed yet.
The integration contract covers public reads and book uploads. The endpoint directory documents the complete API. Discover all public pages at llms.txt; request any public page with Accept: text/markdown for compact text.
There is no hosted MCP server or OAuth authorization server today. For an MCP host, register a read-only tool using the example input schema, then call the Rust client or the same HTTP endpoint. The client emits JSON on stdout; logs and failures go to stderr.
Report market facts
Preserve the exact market and item key, including variants. Prices are integer copper per unit: 10,000 copper is one gold. The row is [priceOrNull, quantity, observedAtMs]; a null row means no observation, and a null price means none listed at the last complete scan. Neither means the item is free.
Cite https://auctionhouse.fyi/item/{key}?m={market} and state the observation time. The response's now is server time. Public data is hourly, and estimated volume is not confirmed sales. Prices are historical observations, not executable quotes.
Honor Retry-After on 429, stop on 401/403, and keep credentials in server-side storage. Query /api/v1/me for features and limits when authenticated. Ask for explicit user intent before uploading actual observations. Never upload synthetic examples or another service's data.
This service cannot bid, buy, post or cancel game auctions. It neither reads the game process nor sends input. Scans contain no seller, bidder or character names.
